Widget extension to simulate Firefox Firebug console trace output

I've created a Widget extension following the 'Widget JavaScript Extension LAB' PDF.

I've extended it to try to simulate the 'console.error' feature of Firefox firebug.

I find this feature helpful when working with jQuery.

I'm using this command in my extension but I do not see any output in the console window.

          System.out.println("JSExtOut: " + output);

I know it is getting called because I added the following from the LAB sample and the simulator does vibrate.

          Alert.startVibrate(1000);

I'm assuming that 'System.out.' is not available at this point but do you have any other ideas on some way I can hook my widget up so I can trace to the Eclipse console from JavaScript?

Thanks

Re: Widget extension to simulate Firefox Firebug console trace output

hi inawire, i think this is a bug or a missing feature in the simulator. What i did is write the logs in a file on the SD card. If you create an SD card in the simulator as a directory, you could read the file.
