blackberry testing environment for web?

Confused noob here.  I'm developing a mobile site that needs to look good on Blackberry devices, but I can't figure out the simulators.   I've downloaded a few from this site (and the MDS / Email thing and some java SDK program), but none can connect to the internet (http://us.blackberry.com/developers/resources/simulators.jsp).  I read through the documentation, but it didn't say I had to do anything special to link them together, or to link up to the SDK.   I've also tried with Adobe Device Central, but the user agent doesn't switch properly.  Help!

How do I get these simulators connected to the net?  Or is there some other Blackberry simulator that is more appropriate for mobile website testing?

Thank you!

Re: blackberry testing environment for web?

Hi

Are you running the MDS first, then the simulator?

Is the MDS DOS window appearing and staying open before running the simulator?

Are you on windows 7?

1. download MDS and install - MDS download:

https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=00EC53C4682D36F5C4359F4AE7BD...

2. download a simulator and install - e.g.

simulator

3. run MDS - a DOS window appears

4. run the simulator - the simulator appears - access the browser and surf web.

That should do it.

Cheers
