browser push question details

I would like to send push requests to my users to refresh their page or notify them there needs to be a refresh.  What type of push should I use?  How do the push notifications behave if the user is currently at the web page?

Re: browser push question details

Internal (BES) or external (BIS) users?  Since it's the browser, you would want to use a browser channel for BES users or a web signal for BIS users.

Nothing special will happen if the user is already on the page. All Push would do is notify that there's a new page, not refresh the current page in the browser.

You could push to a Java application and launch the browser when new content is available, but that would be annoying if the user was in something else at the time.
