filetransfer.download CONNECTION_ERR with MDS in enterprise perimeter

I want to download an image with the function blackberry.io.filetransfer.download. Everything works fine in the personal perimeter. But in the enterprise perimeter it returns the error CONNECTION_ERR. The error only is returned when the device uses MDS to connect to the internet. If the BDS is disabled in the IT Policy and the device uses Wi-Fi then everything works fine again.

Anybody also has problems using blackberry.io.filetransfer.download in the enterprise perimeter with MDS?

Created a bug in the issue tracker for this.

Can you share a link to the issue tracker item?

Curious to know what device model / OS version you are using.  I suspect there might be a permission issue, or could even be an IT admin setting that is interfering with this.

The link to the issue is:

https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/BBTEN-1531

Device model is Dev Alpha C. And OS version is 10.1.0.1485.

I also thought about that it could be a BES or IT admin problem. But since no solution was found I implemented the download using XMLHttpRequest. And it works fine.

var xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
xhr.open('GET', '/path/to/image.png', true);
xhr.responseType = 'blob';
