getElementById Help

Hi, does getElementById on div elements work for bb browser version 4.1+?  It works fine for other elements (select, input, text, etc...) but not for div.

Thanks

<html>

<body>

<input id="myText" type="text" value="" >

<div id="myDiv"></div>

</body>

<script>

   alert(document.getElementById("myText"));        /* works */

      alert(document.getElementById("myDiv"));     /* returns undefine */

</script>

</html>

Re: getElementById Help

works fine on my Blackberry Curve 8310.
My OS is :
v4.2.2.175 (Platform 2.5.0.33)

My Browser is : Internet Browser with Javascript activated.

I've put the html file here :

http://xandrex.free.fr/Blackberry/dom-getElementById.html

it is a bit different from your code.

Remember : when you're designing a webpage, you should always try and validate it.

your input element should have a name attribute, and be child of a form element.

I recommend HTML4.01 Transitional eventhough the theory says you should do XHTML 1.0 Strict.

Re: getElementById Help

Hi, thanks for the reply.  I don't have a problem with OS version 4.2+.  I am testing on version 4.1 rather than 4.2+.
