Accepted Solution

I just tried to follow the tutorial on "Hello World" and encountered the following error in the config.xml:

Error: File not found in the specified address : http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets

Accessing via browser will give me 404.

Please advise as to what I have to do. Thank you very much.

Re: http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets

Hi there, can you please provide a link to the documentation you are following?

Also, at which point do you see the error? What are the steps you take to produce it / at which step in the documentation does it occur?

Re: http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets

Hi Erik,

Thank you for your help and I have found my mistake. I am following the instructions on https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/creating_hello_world.html. After re-reading the instructions, I realised I have to put in the "index.html" at the end of the url in order for Ripple to recognise it.

Best Regards,

James Ng

Re: http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets

Can I suggest that you download one of the sample apps?

This way you have a template to work off which makes things a lot easier

There are some advanced things you can do but you can always ask us when something does wrong (we're a nice crowd)
