my playbook application doesn't work in background

Hello. I am developing an application to playbook using webworks. This application uses a timer made under javascript; when the application is in background or the device is in stand by, this timer stops although it shuold continue working. How can I get the timer doesn't stop in this case? Thanks in advance. Regards

Re: my playbook application doesn't work in background

There's an option in the playbook settings to have apps running on background. But that's something the user sets, not your application,so it won't solve your problem.
AFAIK,there is no support for background processes yet.
