noob alert :) can i get a lil help please?

right so i've sent off for my signing key, but is there anything i can be doing now to get on with my app testing wise? im eager to get my fingers into all this and get my first app up Smiley Happy i've compiled one of the examples i found but it just alerts me that it wont run cos its trying to access restricted apis Smiley Sad

You do not need the signing keys to try out apps on the simulator. I did all my testing outside the simulator on the desktop using firefox, chrome browser. Then i packaged it into the .bar file and tested it on the simulator. When  all was well i signed the app and submitted for approval.

the one that comes with the webkit isnt working for me ;\

 

even after compiling a demo off the blackberry resources it doesnt work. by doesnt work i mean i get a loading image on the simulator, and then no app appears on screen.. maybe im doing something wrong, but not even a simple config.xml + index.html compile seems to work
