window.open is not working in HTML code while running on BB10 Dev Alpha

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I have created a webworks application. In HTML file i used "window.open()"  funtion to open a page through script only.

I can see only white blank screen while running on BB10 Dev Alpha Model. Please help me in this.

Any help will be great to me.

Thanks in advance

I believe the window.open has to be triggered by the user clicking on something.  Check out this example from our sample apps repo - https://github.com/blackberry/BB10-WebWorks-Samples/tree/master/childBrowser

Re: window.open is not working in HTML code while running on BB10 Dev Alpha

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
Actually my existing HTML project works well on windows machine as i used "window.open" in onLoad() function and deciding the page to be open on the basis of one flag value in script only.

If in Blackberry device "window.open" is working on any click event then can u please help me with the function which will give me the solution to achieve my above scenario.

Thanks

Sure thing.  If you go to the link I posted above, or here:

https://github.com/blackberry/BB10-WebWorks-Samples/blob/master/childBrowser/js/app.js

that will show you the function where the click handler is being created.
