Hi, I'm new to the blackberry and I just thought I'd say hi.
I actually have a problem that I wonder if anyone can help me with. I recently got a blackberry from a relative- it was his and he didn't need it anymore- so I put my SIM card in from my phone and uploaded all my contacts. The problem now is that the email setting are for his phone and I don't know how to change it to my own.
I'm not sure who to call, but someone at the store mentioned "Blackberry PDA"? I wasn't sure what he meant; I had a T-Mobile phone and now my blackberry is an AT&T. Do I need to call AT&T or T-Mobile to help me change my email settings? Is it support?

1. You will need to make certain that your device is "unlocked" for use on another network, different than the one to which it is branded. More info below.

2. On the device, to stop his emails, go to Options > Advanced > Service Books. Delete all service books there, one by one.
Or, to remove ALL of his old personal information from the device, OPtions > Security > General settings > Menu key > Wipe Handheld.
This will remove ALL personal data from the device, including your contacts you have added.
3. With your current current carrier, get THE BlackBerry Data Plan added on your voice account.
