Hi everyone I'm very new to this forum and even newer to blackberrys! I have one rather simple question that Will seem quite simple and probably quite stupid to others! When i've finished browsing the internet on my blackberry Do I need to turn anything off like the wifi or anything? I'm so paranoid of leaving something on and getting charged A small fortune for it! Hope all that makes sense!!?! Many thanks

Re: browsing

Hi and welcome to the forums clkk! Smiley Happy

Don't know about your specific data plan, but if you hit the menu button and scroll down to close your browser will be "closed."  Don't believe your wifi is being accessed then, but if you're concerned about that, contact your carrier and ask them to be sure.

BTW, there are no stupid or silly questions!  A great resource is the search box at the upper left of the forums.  Migrate to the forum specific to your device http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/?category.id=Smartphones

and have a look around there.  Many questions have already been worked on and answered in previous threads.

Have a blast and keep coming back. Smiley Very Happy

Hi Clkk, you have already  met the "best of the best".

I would recommend one tip. Get in the habit of cleaning the browser cache in regular maintenance.

Simply start the browser, menu key, options, cache operations, then clear all totals. This will reduce the

amount of memory used to hold history and cookies etc. You will not lose your bookmarks, and will gain memory for the overall

function of your device.

See you around the forums!
